At My Nursery, it is our mission to ensure that every child is respected and has the chance to reach their full potential in every area of development. Our goal is to create a setting where children can learn, explore, and grow as lifelong learners. We make sure that parents are actively involved in their child’s learning and development because we believe in building positive and productive partnerships with families.

Our Curriculum

My Nursery follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Our play-based curriculum supports children’s development, independence, creativity, communication, and confidence in a safe and stimulating environment.
The EYFS focuses on seven key areas of learning and development, providing children with a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Health, Safety & Infection Control

At My Nursery, the health, safety, and wellbeing of every child is our top priority. We maintain a clean and safe environment through regular risk assessments, hygiene and infection-control procedures, cleaning and disinfection, health monitoring, and safe management of illnesses and allergies. We work closely with parents and follow applicable UAE health and safety requirements to protect our children, staff, and families.

Our procedures include:

• Regular handwashing and hygiene practices for children and staff.
• Appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
• Regular cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfection of classrooms, toys, furniture, toilets, and shared areas.
• Safe management and disposal of body fluids and waste.
• Regular pest control and environmental hygiene checks.
• Monitoring and appropriate management of communicable diseases and illness, including exclusion from the Nursery when necessary.
• Regular deep cleaning and disinfection of the Nursery premises.
• Safe storage and handling of cleaning and disinfecting products.
• Ongoing staff awareness and monitoring to ensure infection-control procedures are followed.

Parents are expected to keep children at home when they are unwell or experiencing contagious symptoms and to inform the Nursery of any confirmed communicable illness.
My Nursery regularly reviews its infection-control procedures to ensure a clean, safe, healthy, and supportive environment for every child.

Inclusion Policy

At My Nursery, every child is valued, respected, and supported. We provide an inclusive, welcoming, and non-discriminatory environment where all children have equal opportunities to learn, play, participate, and develop according to their individual needs.
We work closely with parents and specialists to identify children’s needs early, provide appropriate support and adjustments, and ensure every child can participate fully in nursery life.

Safety & Emergency Procedures

Fire Safety & Emergency Evacuation

My Nursery conducts regular fire drills and maintains clear emergency evacuation procedures. Children and staff evacuate calmly to the designated assembly point, where attendance is checked. Staff are trained to follow emergency procedures, and the nursery works closely with the relevant emergency services to ensure children’s safety.

Child Protection & Safeguarding

My Nursery is committed to protecting every child from abuse, neglect, and harm and providing a safe, caring, and inclusive environment. Staff follow applicable UAE and KHDA child protection requirements, receive safeguarding training, and are expected to report and respond promptly to any concerns.

Risk Assessment & Safety

The nursery carries out regular risk assessments of classrooms, outdoor areas, activities, and outings to identify and manage potential hazards. Safety procedures are reviewed regularly to maintain a secure environment and promote the wellbeing of every child.

Incident & Accident Policy

My Nursery is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for children, staff, and visitors. We take a proactive approach to preventing accidents through regular safety checks, appropriate supervision, and staff training.

In the event of an incident, trained staff provide appropriate first aid and take immediate action to ensure the child’s safety. Parents are informed promptly, and all incidents are accurately documented and securely recorded. Serious incidents are managed and reported to the relevant authorities in accordance with applicable UAE requirements.

All incidents are reviewed to identify improvements and help maintain the highest standards of safety, care, and wellbeing for every child.

Illness & Allergy Policy

My Nursery is committed to maintaining a healthy, clean, and safe environment for all children and staff. Children who are unwell or have contagious symptoms may be asked to remain at home until they are fit to return, in line with nursery health procedures and applicable health regulations.

Parents must inform the nursery of any illness, medical condition, or allergy and provide the necessary medical information and prescribed medication where required. 

My Nursery follows individual allergy and anaphylaxis plans to protect children with allergies. Parents and staff are expected to work together to promote children’s health, safety, and wellbeing.

Arrival & Collection Policy

My Nursery is committed to ensuring the safe and secure arrival and departure of every child. Children must be handed directly to an authorized member of staff upon arrival and collected only by a parent, legal guardian, or previously authorized adult with valid identification.

Parents are requested to follow nursery operating hours, communicate any important information to the administration, and ensure timely drop-off and collection. Late collection fees may apply after official nursery hours. Children will not be released without proper authorization.

Partnership with Parents & Community

My Nursery believes that parents are valued partners in their child’s learning and development. We maintain open communication through regular updates, parent meetings, progress reports, coffee mornings, and family events.

Parents are kept informed about their child’s development, milestones, learning progress, and individual needs, with opportunities to discuss concerns and work together with teachers and management.

We also support children who demonstrate additional learning needs, strengths, or talents through ongoing observation, assessment, differentiated learning, enrichment opportunities, and close collaboration with parents and specialists when required.

Our partnership with families and the wider community helps ensure that every child feels supported, valued, included, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Additional Financial & Administrative Policies

• Force Majeure: My Nursery is not responsible for service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
• Emergency Closure & Remote Learning: In emergencies or when directed by government authorities, the Nursery may temporarily close or move to remote learning in accordance with applicable requirements.
• KHDA Compliance: My Nursery follows applicable KHDA policies and requirements. Our policies will be updated when official regulations or requirements change.
• Refunds: Refunds, where applicable, are subject to the Nursery’s approved refund policy and applicable KHDA requirements. 
• Approved Refunds: Where a refund is approved, it will be processed within the applicable timeframe and in accordance with the approved refund procedures.
• Withdrawal: Withdrawal and refund conditions are subject to the applicable enrolment terms, programme requirements, notice periods, and KHDA regulations.
• Policy Updates: Management reserves the right to review and amend policies from time to time, subject to applicable laws, KHDA requirements, and any required approvals.
